How to resolve the MS Access error ‘The Wizard you’ve requested is not installed or is in a bad state. Please install or reinstall the wizard. If you do not have permission to do this on your computer, please contact your help desk representative’ When trying to open the Linked table manager

1)     Open the MS Access application and click File>Options>Trust Center:

 

2)     Click Trusted Locations and ensure the folder ACCWIZ exists in one of the trusted location paths.

3)     If the folder does not exist in the path, then click ‘Add new location’, add the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\ACCWIZ\ then click ‘OK’.

4)     That’s it! You may need to log out and back in again for changes to come into effect.
